After revisiting some classics such as the Air Force 1 and the AJ 1 Virgil Abloh is now tackling AJ 4.
The AJ 4 Retro OW Sail features a monochrome upper with an ultra vintage feel. The cream-coloured leather base is combined with a gridded side cage and some synthetic elements such as the Wings and the frosted TPU heel. The usual SHOELACES inscriptions on the laces and the mention AIR affixed above the air bubble are added like a signature. as are the tags OW and AJ attached to the laces. Finally. frayed seams and an ankle collar that seems to have no trim finish off this silhouette. which is all about relief and the play of materials.
With a design that is completely different from what Virgil Abloh has offered on its collaborations to date sneakers. the AJ 4 Retro OW Sail is sure to spark the interest of the community.
