Arguably one of the most iconic colourways within the Jordan Brand archive is the “Space Jam”. Donned by Michael Jordan in the infamous basketball movie from 1996, the make-up was first seen on AJ 11 during what some consider to be the most iconic scene. While you hopefully won’t encounter any Monstars throughout your day-to-day life, having a pair of Space Jam-inspired Jordans on your feet is always a great choice.
This mid-cut AJ 1 is the silhouette lucky enough to be given access to the iconic make-up, kitted out with all the same features that made the originals so immense. Instead of the traditional colour blocking, a patent leather has been introduced onto the upper to mimic the high-cut mudguard on the AJ11. Patent leather has always split opinions due to its glossy finish, but you can’t deny it looks like a natural fit on the Air Jordan 1 Mid. Tooling on the sole unit continues the Space Jam theme with its white midsole and icy bottom finish, rounding off the film-inspired ensemble.
